I bought this game like 2 years ago and waited for it to become good.
All it did was become average so I quit..
Is this game still focused on mostly just shelling out new mechs,
to take more money out of peoples pockets or is it actually worth playing yet?

Because when I left it was a pretty bad game.
They cared nothing about how it feels, just about what new mech with what variant, they could shove down our throats, for an overpriced amount.

I'm guessing it's still the same old garbage.
I read the patch and update notes and all I see is "blah blah blah, new mech, new variant, give us more money".. What a total failure this game has been if that's the case.
I wasted quite a bit of money, hoping this would turn into a good game.

CW will be coming shortly, and will revolve around shooting mechs.

The game is free to play, why don't you try it and tell us if you like it rather than post a 2 year old review.

Better than 2 years ago... yeah, vastly different, no. CW might change that in Dec... might. I love the gameplay but it has mostly been patch polish and balance. IMO superior to 2 years ago, but what I would call a solid Open Beta waiting to be feature complete.

A game is what you make of it, and has alot to do with whether you actually want it to be better. If you go in with your current attitude you will not like it.

I've done this before. Gone back to the forums of an online game which I felt burned or betrayed me, hoping to see misery, or at least desolation and inactivity, vindication for my spite. So in the interest of appeasing an old-timer:

No! It sucks so bad! Everyone is leaving for a better game! You showed great foresight in getting out of this money grab when you did!

Speaking as someone who is roughly in your same position, the game is pretty much the same. I've been "back" for about 2 weeks, and aside from new mechs and new maps, it's pretty much the same game it was 2 years ago.

The interface is still a mess, balance is still not perfect, and the grind is as painful as it ever was. But as others said, it can still be fun if all you want to do is shoot some mechs.

Yea, we got it for FREES so id be pretty upset too...

Are your lame comments gonna get any better? The game is fine, fun and is getting better. If you dont like it im sure there are tons of other games out there that may strike your fancy.
